Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most prevalent chemical compounds in the cannabis plant. Unlike the better known tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is non-intoxicating. CBD can be found in other plants too, like broccoli and kale, but the hemp plant is where it is most abundant.

Yes. CBD is legal to be bought in all 50 states of the U.S. Luce Farm CBD products are fully tested and verified by third party analytical labs, and contain no more than 0.3% of THC, which is the legal limit for THC in CBD.

Our hemp is grown on Luce Farm in Stockbridge, Vermont as well as other partner farms in the area, known as the Luce Farm Collective.

We exclusively use organic practices from germination to extraction. All plants start from seed and grow in soil amended with manures from our flocks of poultry and herds of goats. Our outdoor grow operation allows us to harness the power of the sunlight and irrigate with natural springs. We believe in growing our plants naturally and sustainably and do not use feminized seeds or other unnatural products.

  • Vermont Certified Organic
  • Plants started from straight (non-feminized) seeds
  • Dried to 8-12% moisture content to preserve terpenes
  • Small-scale gardening
  • The collective farmers work together to share knowledge, advice and celebrate community

We utilize the Super Critical CO2 extraction method and feel it is the most natural, pure and environmentally friendly process to extract cannabinoids. This method provides us with a full spectrum oil that is free of residual solvents, and not only includes ALL of the cannabinoids found in the plant, but also retains the essential vitamins, minerals, Omega fatty acids and terpenes that naturally occur in hemp.

Luce crafts its products in Bethel, Vermont, in a Vermont Department of Health-certified commercial kitchen.

We can’t speak for others, but we encourage anyone that is interested in CBD or thinking about purchasing CBD products to be well-informed and to ask the growers and manufacturers where is your hemp grown? What farming methods are used to grow your hemp? What extraction method do you use? How often do you test your flower or products for CBD content?

Please refer to your doctor or health care provider for any questions about the safety of our product for you. If you use prescription medications, take supplements or have underlying health conditions that cause concern, check with a health care provider to make sure that our CBD oil will be safe for your use. We are always willing to discuss our product with your health care provider and provide any information they might require to accurately answer these questions for you.
